How much filler will I need?

Each person is different and each client will receive a one on one consultation with our provider to determine what is best for you.

Which technique is right for me?

Each patient will have a consultation with our provider to determine your goals and which technique may suit you best.

I don’t want huge lips, filler isn’t for me.

Hyaluronic acid injected into the lips can provide structure, smooth out lines and wrinkles, and provide overall shape and can be tailored to suit each individuals goals. In many cases a small amount of filler can produce results that clients want.

Adults of various ages can achieve results from dermal fillers and a free consultation from our provider can offer more information on your overall goals.

Lip Rejuvination

Lip Fillers can be done for several reasons:

  • adding volume and hydration to naturally thin and dry lips

  • smoothing out lines and wrinkles

  • providing a nicer aesthetic shape, especially where one lip is smaller than the other

What are some various examples lip filler techniques? (There are many…)

Lip Tenting

This well-established technique was first created by aesthetic physician Tom van Eijk and involves injecting multiple tiny amounts of hyaluronic acid filler along the line of the two cupid areas for a fuller effect. Unlike the recently popular “lip flip” which uses a small amount of off-label Botox to relax the muscle above the lip and lessen a "gummy" smile, tenting is meant to add volume in a more natural-looking way.

This technique manages the volume and contour of your lips by adjusting the pressure on the syringe and keeping an eye on the position of the needle tip at all times. Young lips, on the other hand, will require more volume in the center body of the lip to achieve a ‘fashionable’ look, whilst some patients may choose lip contour reconstruction for more structure.

Sculpting Technique

The most popular method of applying lip filler is with regular needles. A doctor will use needles to inject filler into a number of specific places, which may result in minor bleeding. They will then lightly massage the region to spread the product evenly and limit the risk of edema. Standard lip fillers are typically injected horizontally into the lip, resulting in a uniform distribution of volume and fullness.
